About Me

Bio:

Myranda Bair was born in North Dakota.
She received her BFA from the University of Texas and her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). She has two French Bulldogs and a cat named Gus. She lives and works in Salt Lake City.

Artist Statement:

When I get really excited my skin almost vibrates… It’s like falling in love.

I like dogs and cats, tigers, salamanders, and lots of other creatures too, even slugs. I enjoy watching people learn, especially kids. The way they think is so simple, yet perfect. I want to help people, even if it’s just giving directions, or telling them about good restaurants to try. I cry when something sad happens, or when something really wonderful happens too.

My work is about me but it’s also about you. And I would make it no matter what.
